I am a highly accomplished Certified Public Accountant (Florida), Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica (FCA), and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants with over 17 years of progressive accounting experience and 8 years of academic teaching experience. I hold a Master of Accountancy degree from Palm Beach Atlantic University.My accounting career began at KPMG, one of the Big Four Public Accounting Firms where I gained broad exposure across industries including manufacturing, retail, insurance, utilities, university, and government. I later transitioned into private accounting at Morselife Health Systems, where I specialized in healthcare finance spanning short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, home health, and assisted living operations. Currently, I serve as an accounting professional at Carrier Global Corporation, a Fortune 500 leader in climate and sustainability solutions.Over the years, I have developed deep expertise in: • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Preparing financial statements, analyzing results, and presenting findings to stakeholders. • Audit & Compliance: External audits, SOX/internal controls, technical accounting research, and risk assessments. • Corporate Accounting & Operations: Managing month-end close, account reconciliations, process improvements, and finance transformation initiatives. • Leadership & Collaboration: Project management, cross-functional collaboration with FP & A, tax, and shared services (RTR, OTC, PTP), and coaching teams.As an Adjunct Instructor of Accounting, I design and deliver courses on fundamental and advanced accounting principles, fostering student engagement and success.
