My professional journey encompasses over 17 years of experience of which 12 years were in Merchandise Planning and some Buying, covering diverse product categories like Footwear, Accessories, Health and Beauty, and Apparel. Over the last 6 years I have a proven track record in leading high-impact projects, system integrations, and business process improvements within Technology. In my current role as Technology Manager for Merchandise Planning, I lead a team responsible for the stability, effectiveness, and continuous improvement of core planning systems, including Merchandise Financial Planning, Assortment Planning, Merchandise Management Systems, Allocations, Replenishment and demand forecasting. I drive innovation and system optimization, ensuring seamless integration and data accuracy across business functions. My responsibilities include overseeing system availability, managing third-party vendors, compiling, forecasting and managing budgets as well as implementing and executing best practices in project and change management. I am committed to coaching and developing team members, fostering a culture of high performance, and ensuring that all solutions align with business objectives while ensuring future readiness in emerging Technologies such as AI. Internationally, I have contributed to Pepkor’s Brazilian retailer Avenida, supporting their merchandise buying and planning processes and systems.With extensive experience in merchandise planning, buying, and technology, I bring a unique blend of retail insight and systems innovation.
