About Ksandra Gunsolus

I started working for McDonald's when I was 14 as a crew person, cleaning the dining area. I was a shy, awkward child, but McDonald's has a way of bringing out the best in people. I grew to love the job and was far more comfortable making conversation with people than I ever thought I would be. I was promoted to crew trainer at age 17, and 2 short months later, promoted to Swing Manager; my boss saw something in me that no one else did and I have her to thank for my career. I travelled from store to store helping other locations as needed within our franchise. I was sent to 2 courses to better my skills as a manager and was promoted to an Assistant manager at our busiest location in 2011. I attended 2 more courses, which I exceeded in, and was promoted to General Manager in January of 2015. I managed this location for 1 year, then was asked to run a larger store, which I did for 2 years. In August of 2018 I was promoted to Recruitment and Retention Market People Lead. It has been a challenge, but it is extremely rewarding; you could say I love my job. Our owner operators are great, and they really care about developing their people! There is always room to grow.
