Dr. Ashesh kumar brings strong leadership and expertise in biopharmaceuticals specifically in Biologics CDMO services managment and complex Biosimilars Development and manufacturing and project management. Dr Ashesh held increased levels of responsibility at Medipolis GMP Finland (part of Bioton Poland group and Marvel UK (part of Eli Lilly, USA in several Insulin manufacturing), in USA, UK and Europe. His experience spans Biotech and biopharma R&D, Manufacturing and Operations. Technical expertise in biopharmaceutical CMC development and GMP-compliant & cost-efficient manufacturing operations to global standards. Dr Ashesh Kumar has co-founded established and grew Paras Biopharmaceuticals. Direct responsibility for R&D, commercial manufacturing, international licensing and business development. Led the development and commercial biosimilar products: Analog Insulins, Osteoporosis Recombinant Teriparatide Led the development of 2 products for filing as biosimilars in EU - lead product is progressing with Marketing Authorization in Europe and USA. Prior to joining and leading the team at Paras Biopharmaceuticals, Ashesh was the Head Director of Medipolis GMP, Finland. Main roles and responsibilities Heading a premier European contract services organization involved in discovery, development and manufacturing for the global bio/pharmaceutical industry in the area of recombinant proteins and monoclonal antibodies Strong experience on development of Biosimilars - development, regulation, market scenario. Biopharmaceuticals and Biosimilars Technology Development and led the complete scale up technology for Analog Insulin production in Medipolis GMP Oy which was licensed to Bioton, Poland ( later licensed to Actavis/ Mylan). Dr Ashesh has attended Harvard Business School, USA and hold a management degree from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies and a MS and PhD in Biotechnology from Indian Institute of Technology.
