About Kun Qiu

As a mechanical engineer with a passion for computational fluid dynamics, robotics, and multiphysics simulation, I thrive at the intersection of engineering and innovation. My work spans from designing high-fidelity velocity field extraction systems in combustion research to developing automated robotic solutions for industrial applications.Currently, I am pursuing my Master of Engineering at Vanderbilt University, where I apply advanced numerical methods and computer vision techniques to solve complex engineering challenges. My research in combustion and laser diagnostics has led to the development of a novel in-situ calibration system for 3D velocity field reconstruction, improving the accuracy of high-speed flow diagnostics.Beyond research, I have hands-on experience in robotic automation, optimizing manufacturing processes with AI-driven control systems. My expertise extends to computational fluid dynamics, where I leverage finite volume and finite difference methods to simulate and optimize fluid flows across intricate geometries.I am always looking for opportunities to collaborate on projects that push the boundaries of engineering and technology.
