With Packt's wide range of tech books videos and courses my business unit focuses on delivering cutting-edge tech learning solutions to organizations and academic institutions thereby enabling tech pros to enhance their skills and performance and stay ahead in a rapidly evolving technology landscape. My career began as a merchant navy sailor instilling discipline resilience and a global outlook. Transitioning into HR I honed my passion for developing and nurturing professionals. Previously at Packt I spearheaded global talent management raising hiring and training standards and optimizing talent development processes. As CEO at Packt-TeamEpic I led a bootstrapped Hire Train Deploy business building an academy to train engineers in Data Science and AI ensuring they were market-ready for global clients. In addition to my corporate work I’m an L&D mentor angel investor and family coach passionate about AI remote work leadership and parenting. I value ownership hustle and independence balancing personal and professional goals while embracing new challenges. I’m in the best shape of my life and I'm just getting started.
