About Kunal Kaura

Humanity may be been born on Earth but I believe we were born to inherit this universe; push our limits & explore, build peace and security to the cosmos and our world. I strive in being well-driven, intrigued, and open to new challenges and opportunities at any time. I learn from experience, and love having the ability to switch myself as a meticulous engineer with a range of disciplinary technical skills, to a strong and agile leader willing to push boundaries and support my team at all times.Studying a double degree, Bachelor of Mech. Eng.(H), Majoring in Mechatr. & Rob. Eng. and Bachelor of Com, Majoring in B & Fin, I love space and wanting to be at the frontier of growing industry! As the Project Director of the Adelaide Rover Team, and as the previous Mechanical Lead, I love working on robotics (rovers especially!), and love reaching out to future and present students on the growing space and defence industry in South Australia! My passion and continuously growing obsession on the unknown and vastness of space stems from my idol, Mark Fischbach,(better known as Markiplier). From an obsession of always finding and exploring the unknown, and being from an era predominant in video games, watching Mark and his interest in space mirrored onto mine during my childhood. And as such, here I am! And as said so well by Mark, I'd like to say "Space Is Cool"!Outside of my space obsessions, I continue to mentor my high school's H2GP program after mentoring for the F1 and Subs in Schools programs. Outside of study and mentoring, I compete and train in Olympic weightlifting under my coach, an Olympian athlete himself, Frank Elliot.Being an award recipient of the Long Tan award, I strive in team engagement and environments, whether I'm holding ground as a charismatic leader or striving for excellence as a designer, or any position.Hope to anyone reading this, that they too are willing to join together on our journey to our goals, such as mine to the vastness of space and strengthening defence and engineering sovereignty, but of course - it will take one step at a time (depending on what the gravity is of the planet, of course).
