Monitors to assure adherence to defined processes. o Develops organizational capability/capacity and technical skills among staff to support the product teams and product group strategies and initiatives o Operates as a key member of the HVDC R&D Leadership team. Leads development and execution of strategic planning initiatives, allocation of engineering resources, and technology road maps across the technology function o Collaborate closely with international, internal, and external stakeholders, including the commercial team, manufacturing, operations, and suppliers, Product Know-how: o HVDC Converter Valves Generator circuit breaker o Gas insulated switch gear (GIS) o High voltage live tank circuit breaker ( 72.5 kV up to 800kV) o Medium voltage switch gear (11kV to 36kV) Core Technology Areas Know-how : o High & Medium Voltage Circuit Breaker design & development o High & Medium Voltage Circuit Breaker Interrupter design o High & Medium Voltage Circuit Breaker routine and type testing o Mechanical design/simulation (Dynamic and FEA) o Theoretical calculation of HV breaker structure design o Structural calculation of breaker mounting structure o Seismic calculation and testing o Dielectric design incl. stress control/simulation o Electromagnetic force calculation/Simulation o DFMA o FMEA o Tolerance calculations Research, Design and development : o New product development project management according to Gate Model. o 3D-/2D-CAD design and FEM simulation tools. o Development and optimization of products from concept phase to start of production. o Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development & engineering group. o Responsibility of project planning, scheduling and costs control. o Interface with cross functional departments. o Coordinate technology transfer to manufacturing operations. o Materials requirements and specifications. o Co-ordination for production of prototype for the new developed products. o Co-ordination in Type testing of new product o FMEA/DFMEA o Technical documentation/Report
