About Kuo Yan

I am an engineering student specializing in transport, urban planning, and infrastructure project finance at École des Ponts et Chaussées, as part of a dual degree with the Institute of Science Tokyo (formerly Tokyo Institute of Technology). This program equips me with a comprehensive understanding of engineering, finance, and law as applied to complex infrastructure projects, preparing me for a successful career in the growing field of infrastructure finance and investment. With a background at the World Bank, I bring hands-on experience in transport decarbonization and financial mechanisms for sustainable development. My role at the World Bank allowed me to support key initiatives in Africa, developing financing solutions for electric vehicle adoption, while strengthening my skills in project finance, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement. Fluent in English, French, Japanese, and Chinese and accustomed to working in multicultural environments, I am committed to contributing to global infrastructure development. The diverse and multidisciplinary nature of my training, combined with my determination to address critical challenges, ensures I am well-prepared to navigate the complexities of international infrastructure projects.
