About Kurt Lust

I have a broad interest in innovative technologies in general. My main specialism is in HPC technology (hardware and software) and its use in a scientific environment, and in scientific computing across a wide range of application domains. I currently work as a HPC consultant at the University of Antwerp. Since January 2021, half of my time is spent working on a project led by CSC Finland, in the user support team for LUMI, one of the EuroHPC pre-exascale systems to be installed in 2021. Within the LUMI User Support Team (LUST) I work on software installation and management of the scientific software stack, and training and documentation. For the other half of my time I work for the CalcUA facility of the Vlaams Supercomputer Centrum. My tasks there include working on the technical requirements for procurements, user support, software installation (I am an advanced EasyBuild user) and optimisation and development of user documentation and training. I am not actively looking for a job currently as I still find great challenges and learn a lot in the LUMI project. In general, I'm interested in work as an analyst, consultant, technology-expert or manager in an environment where innovation and technology play an important role.
