About Kurt Scott I’ve built and led physician and physician executive recruitment programs throughout my 35 year career, but something was missing: a place for physician leaders and healthcare organizations to learn and connect. I focused on filling this void and launched Physician Leadership Career Network in January 2019. In previous years, I helped develop and build the first formal permanent physician search business for VISTA Staffing. I also led the department at Geisinger Health System, one of the nation’s top 10 integrated health delivery systems, to increase annual new hires and was directly responsible for Geisinger’s executive recruitment initiatives. I am a past president of the Association of Staff Physician Recruiters (ASPR)- now the Association for Advancing Physician and Provider Recruitment (AAPPR)- where I was an active speaker for their national educational conference. I also led the development of ASPR's fellowship program geared at developing the next generation of physician recruitment leaders. I have consulted with organizations across the country developing staff, systems, and tools to help them meet the increasing demands of recruiting. Because of my success, I’ve been featured in publications such as Modern HealthCare (cover story), HFM, the Healthcare Financial Management Association’s monthly journal, Modern Physician, the New England Journal of Medicine’s Recruiting Physicians Today, and The Physician Executive (ACPE). I’m also a regular contributor to Medscape's career center and the PLC-Network Blog.
