About Kurt Wagner

Kurt is a highly experienced senior project director with over 40 years of experience successfully delivering major projects across energy, rail and metro,commercial, health, education, entertainment and conventions, transport, defence, corrections and international events. Kurt’s career is unique. He spent nearly 15 years as an Associate Director in one of Australia largest architectural practices before moving offshore into the international arena of major sporting events and associated projects. In 2008, Kurt joined ABNAmro/RBS as Technical Manager for the structured finance division bidding for major Public Private Partnership projects in defence, health and research, education and corrections sectors. Most recently, Kurt has concentrated on supporting the NSW Government’s major investment in the energy transition process, transport infrastructure, including as Transaction Commercial Director for the first renewable energy zone in NSW the CWO REZ licensed project after undertaking a similar role on the PEC project for TransGrid. These followed more than 5 years as the Senior Design Manager for all Stations and Precincts for Sydney Metro – City and Southwest Project. Kurt possesses a deep understanding of major projects across a wide range of sectors. This experience provides a knowledge base and skill set that is readily adaptable and can be easily applied across all phases of project development, from business case and project initiation, transaction and commercial management, functional and operational planning, master planning and all subsequent design and design development phases and into delivery, commissioning and handover. Kurt possesses excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a passion for coaching and skills transfer and developing high performing integrated project teams.
