About Kushagra Arora

I’m a backend engineer who learns obsessively and builds deliberately. At the heart of my work is a genuine love for learning, not just new tools or frameworks, but better ways to design systems, solve problems, and support the people I work with.Over the past six years, I’ve grown from an entry-level engineer at Microsoft to leading a backend team at an AI startup. I joined MarkovML as the third backend hire and now lead a six-person team owning everything from system architecture to code quality. Along the way, I’ve helped build a no-code AI workflow engine, a model inference and registry platform, LLM and RAG integrations, scalable event profiling systems, and internal tooling that improved development speed and reliability. What I enjoy most is creating systems that make life easier for my team, for our users, and for future engineers. I think in iteration paths, and I care about balancing simplicity with extensibility. I focus on shipping quickly without compromising long-term maintainability.I’ve led architectural decisions, mentored engineers, and improved developer experience by introducing better tooling and review practices. I’m hands-on with Python, FastAPI, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, CI/CD pipelines, and everything needed to move fast and build right. If you’re working on infrastructure, AI platforms, or scalable backend systems and care about building thoughtfully, I’d love to connect.
