About Kye Meyer

Kye Meyer is a Architectural Residential Design Junior at PCC of Portland, OR. He has over 10 years of experience in the construction, design, management and customer service industries. Kye has an array of hands-on skills that include live in residential renovation, owning his own painting business, and cabinet design and build. He also has strong computer skills that include AutoCAD, Revit, Google SketchUP, Adobe, and MIcrosoft Office. His intentions as a full-time student at PCC is to graduate with his AAS in Architectural Building Design, and receive his certification in Kitchen & Bath Design, Sustainable Building Design, and Design for Aging and Accessibility in Place, after which he will apply and transfer to Oregon State University for his BS. Kye's design idea's are strongly based upon aesthetics that meet with functionality and comfort both inside the home and out. With many of his designs he pulls elements and principles from an Asian, Mid-Century and Contemporary Modernism, and Minimalist standpoint. His influences included but are not limited to, Saul Zaik, Jessica Helgerson, Sky Lab, Garrison Hullinger, Hammer and Hand, Bob Rummer, Eichler, and Wright.
