Self-driven and inquisitive-minded, Kyla Meyer has a passion for industrial engineering and all it has to offer to drive advancements in improving efficiency, reducing waste, and enhancing overall performance to positively impact day-to-day operations. Currently, in the final year of her Bachelor of Engineering degree from the University of Stellenbosch, she is determined to use every opportunity to develop her skills beyond what she has learnt to deliver engineering excellence in everything she does.Effectively utilising her time at university, Kyla took on various vacation work training programmes to gain practical experience while studying. Here she gained vital exposure to operations research, supply chain management, project management, process improvement techniques, and data analysis. With an aptitude for and a keen interest in technological innovation, she offers the potential of skilfully strategizing operational plans to identify and mitigate the reoccurrence of bottlenecks to maximise productivity and profitability.Drawing true enjoyment from interacting with diverse individuals, she is an excellent communicator with well-developed interpersonal skills. Flexible in ever-changing environments, with the ability to meet strict deadlines without compromising on quality, she demonstrates an undeterred focus to meet and exceed all expectations.Combining her attributes of patience, determination, and persistence; as well as her portfolio of academic, and leadership success, Kyla has built a solid foundation for the accomplishments she is yet to deliver as a veritable asset to any team in her field.With a strong sense of ambition and fuelled by new challenges, Kyla seeks an entry-level, co-op, internship or graduate programme placement, with the prospect of career growth, where she can acquire hands-on experience and real-world exposure in the application of industrial engineering principles. Determined to refine her problem-solving capabilities, she aspires to master the relevant industry-standard software and tools, such as statistical analysis software, simulation tools, project management software, and optimisation software.
