About Kyle Biggs

Kyle manages the Queen Elizabeth Prize for Engineering’s nominations and judging processes, as well as team logistics, events, and activities to celebrate and nurture global engineering excellence. He started his journey at the Academy in the Research team before moving to the QE Prize. Originally from the Falkland Islands, Kyle moved to the UK after receiving the Chevening scholarship to study an MSc at the London School of Economics, where he used his passion for making the world a better place by studying Environment and Development. With a diverse background that includes work as a technician where he was involved in the introduction of mobile telecoms and broadband to the Islands, Kyle then went on to use his passion for the Islands in promotional and Ambassadorial roles within the Falkland Islands Tourist Board.Kyle was previously a section commander and Corporal for the Falkland Islands Defence Force, representing the Islands at two international combat shooting competitions, winning various awards. Captain of the Falkland Islands football team for two international tournaments and played at 4 other International Tournaments.
