Background

About Kyle Cohn

During my time at RIT, I was able to participate in numerous co-op opportunities. These opportunities have given me wide-spread knowledge into many of the processes of developing a product. I have worked on auto-cad design of new products, tested new products to make sure they met federal guidelines, developed large-scale systems for complexes, and worked on preventative maintenance projects at General Motors. My initial role was as a Manufacturing Engineer with Eaton's Vehicle Group. I led projects ranging from receiving inspection programs to new machine implementation. My role had me searching for creative solutions to complex problems, as I was the lead manufacturing engineer for an entire product line. My current role has me serving as both a Mechanical Design Engineer and as a Quality Engineer within Bechtel’s Nuclear, Security and Environmental Global Business Unit. I have been a part of and led design change packages to support Southern Nuclear Company’s commitments to the NRC and to maintain plant health. My Quality role has me create project procedures and maintain/promote the project Corrective Action Program.
