About Kyle Conway

I like tea. I have a PhD in Fine Arts. It’s broad, but my focus was narrative structure. Did you know that businesses can be built, grown, and sold with compelling stories? It’s true. Nearly 10 years ago I started working at a healthcare startup while finishing my PhD that grew quickly and itself incubated other companies. I was a key part of storyboarding, designing, structuring, and writing the story of those companies as we decided how to move them forward, tell others about them and grow them. I’ve written and designed more pitch decks than I can remember (many at the same time). Constantly learning is a primary goal for me. As such, I have a wide, broad, and deep set of interests. From things associated with my education like Theatre Theory & Criticism, Acting, Directing, Storytelling, Dramaturgy, and Graphic Design to Free and Open Source Software, the Dvorak keyboard layout, and balancing objects on my face (like a ladder … yes, literally). I’ve been a daily desktop user of Linux for 10+ years now (by choice) and I’m ideologically supportive of free/libre software. At the moment I’m looking for the next big opportunity to make an impact. Short-term I’m hoping to work for an ethical tech company in a role where my many skills can make an impact. Long-term I’m hoping to learn enough about the industry and meet enough people to fully leverage my skills in the field to make a positive impact larger than any individual product or company's technology.
