About Kyle Franklin

Born in Southern Indiana, I started working for the family business at age 10. I continued with them through my college education and have tried to give back for all the opportunities I have been afforded. Mainly the ability to learn a very strong work ethic. I moved to Nashville, Tennessee and earned my bachelor's degree in Accounting from Belmont University. Following graduation, I was working in Nashville for a financial company before being recruited back to Indiana to continue developing and expanding Franklin Surplus. In 2015, my wife and I got married. We have a busy, full life that relies on our support and admiration of each other as my wife is a surgeon working in Texas. Our friends will often state they don't know how we manage! On my time off, I enjoy the simple details of a good meal and the adventures of traveling. While still dating, my wife and I set a goal to visit a new country each year- it's early on the journey but we are still on track! I watch the Pacers, Indianapolis Colts, and Cincinnati Reds. I'll even play some basketball myself when my knees will let me. Currently, I am in the CFO/VP of a company I started with my brother in 2014. Metal Logics specializes in demolition and project management for our clients. We use our versatility and our knowledge of commodity markets to maximize value for our clients.
