I am capable, flexible and groupwork oriented individual willing to complete any assigned tasks in a timely manner and above satisfactory level. My eagerness for knowledge allows me to be very open minded and willing to learn any new skills that would improve my ability to perform my role. I am a first year student at Dalhousie University and currently enrolled in the Bachelor Of Commerce Program with CO-OP. I aspire to major in the field of finance as well as attain a CO-OP placement within the finance sector. After I complete my bachelor's program at Dalhousie my goal is to gain more exposure and experience within the financial industry by working within the Mergers and Acquisitions division of a company or a specialized firm. Once I have become established in this field, I would like to commence my own freelance work with large, medium and small scale firms. Aside from my future occupational aspirations, I have and am currently heavily involved in extracurricular activities. I am currently on the Dalhousie tennis team(2021-2022) and a former Barbados national representative in tennis(2014-2019). This has given me a substantial amount experience in teamwork, collaborations, interacting with multicultural and diverse groups and public communications. From a young age I have always been interested in understanding and knowing the strategic and theoretical concepts behind why one would choose to acquire one company over another. This has led me to pursue a career within finance industry, in particular Mergers & Acquisitions. I am excited and eager to gain any hands on experience and exposure possible and will excel with whatever tasks is given. I am determined to overcome all challenges and adversities.
