Pharmacy School Achievements: • Licensure and Certifications: Pharmacogenomics Certification and Diabetic Certification Training. • Elective Classwork: Clinical Toxicology I at the University of Florida- Description: Knowledge about toxic effects of important therapeutic drug classes. Cardiovascular principles and important drug classes that are commonly involved with toxic side effects. Medications used for treatment of neurological and psychiatric disorders associated with toxic effects. Toxicities linked to antibiotics and chemotherapy. • Professional Organizations- Member of the American Society of Health System Pharmacists - Member of American Pharmacists Association I started at Harding University with an interest in pursuing pharmacy. I became interested in pursuing pharmacy experience during college to obtain insight into the profession and gain knowledge before starting pharmacy school. Currently, I have worked at Walgreens for 7 years. With this community pharmacy knowledge, I decided to seek out a position with Unity Health for hospital pharmacy experience. Currently, I have worked at Unity Health for 2 years. I managed to balance both Walgreens and Unity Health jobs while in pharmacy school. Working at Walgreens every other weekend and at Unity Health two days of the week. I am interested in pursuing a PGY-1 residency, I view it as another year of experience and knowledge to obtain, while increasing my independent, professional judgement as a pharmacist. My pharmacy interests include Infectious Disease/ Antimicrobial Stewardship, Hematology/ Oncology, Ambulatory Care, and Cardiology. These are a few interests listed, as I come to find more aspects of pharmacy that interest me as I continue my practice. I've come to find throughout my time in pharmacy school and work studies, I enjoy the profession of pharmacy as a whole. I've enjoyed my time in a community setting, hospital setting, and ambulatory care setting. All of them have broadened my knowledge and professional judgement. I view all pharmacy opportunities as a potential to learn and develop new skills.
