In my current position in a industrial maintenance shop as a mechanic welder i work with long conveyor belts, elevators, conveying screws, mixing boxes, micro pulverizers, motor line up, pump removal/ installation and line up. I remove and replace fans. I use hand signals for directing a crane. I work in confined spaces. I’m rescue qualified using a SCUBA pack and am fit tested to wear respirators. I measure, fit, weld and install new piping in the plant as well as weld patches on existing piping, sometimes on paper thin material. I often operate forklifts and extended boom forklifts, also Airial boom man lifts, and scissor lifts often in very tight spaces always using 100% tie off procedures.
