About Kyle Hood

My experiences in both the public and private sectors have led me to this point in my life. I started down my path of work while in college, working full time in the grocery business. Working my way up from a courtesy clerk to night manager. After graduating college, I went on to my first teaching experience in Buckley, WA. Here I taught as a Emotional & Behavioral Special Education Teacher. I eventually transitioned to teaching in Maple Valley, WA where I taught as a Behavioral Specialist - Special Education Teacher then eventually becoming a Dean of Students. While in these positions, I also took on the role of 504 Coordinator for all Jr. High students, building PBIS Facilitator, District Technology Distribution Coordinator, and a few other roles. During this time, I also worked as a National Park Ranger for 11 summers, 10 of which were based out of the Carbon River Ranger Station of Mt. Rainier National Park. Currently, I have transitioned into the role of Assistant Director of Operations for the Tahoma School District. In this new to me role, I am staying aligned with my original self proclaimed goal,"to have the greatest impact possible on the most students possible". My focus has always been, and will always be, to best serve the public and their most precious family member (their child/ren). I am here to work for people and with people for the greatest impact possible.
