About Kyle Hromisin

I’m a proud graduate of the University of Scranton and even more so of my accomplishments and experiences on campus. Trained in forensic chemistry, I graduated Magna Cum Laude with honors, having successfully completed my thesis in environmental organic chemistry as part of the research-based honors program. Outside the classroom, I served as a a tour guide and co-director of admissions for 4 years, a resident assistant for 3 years, started a new club sport on campus called U of S Roundnet, attended and then led a retreat to Death Valley in California, and served on the university’s conduct review board. In my junior year I joined the university’s combined M.S. in chemistry program, and am now in my final year at The U as a graduate student. I’ve moved on from organic to analytical research and I’m now working on a project in microfluidics. Aside from my research, I serve as a graduate teaching assistant of organic chemistry and continue my work with residence life in their central office. I couldn’t have imagined spending my college experience anywhere else, but I’m ready to move on to my career as a chemist. In the coming years I’ll be looking for a position in either analytical or synthetic organic chemistry. I’m excited to see what opportunities my Scranton education will afford me.
