About Kyle J. McHugh

Born in Tennessee and raised in California, I have been blessed to have one of the most versed careers in the industry when it comes to not only spirits, but my real passion, Whiskey. I have spent over 16 years in the distilled spirits industry, handling anything and everything from bartending to brand advocacy to some of the largest trade and consumer-facing live event activations in the world. But even more than my deep knowledge of one of America’s favorite spirits, my passion for people and lifestyle culture is what makes me an especially engaged and driven individual. As a Bulleit Frontier Whiskey Brand Ambassador and industry leader, I have supported Bulleit on a variety of levels, and my many contributions to the brand and to those whom I serve across the bar have not gone unnoticed. In 2020, I was nominated for brand ambassador of the year by Whisky Magazine. My passion for people and honest engagement with everyone I come across has also led me to serve as the president of the Sacramento Chapter of the United States Bartenders Guild. I find my self pushing the limits and pushing myself by trying to absorb and learn as much as I can in many of different fields from photography and digital/Creative Design to Video Editing and creating music to accompany the finished product. When I'm not trying to come up with new and fun ways to to learn or rework cocktail recipes, I enjoy spending time with my family, channeling my inner Ron Swanson by building furniture and woodworking, golfing and wakeboarding in beautiful Northern California, where I call home.
