About Kyle Kabacinski

I have almost 4 years of experience as a Quality Control Chemist. From this, I gained considerable knowledge and expertise with a wide range of chemical testing instrumentation and techniques including HPLC, GC, AA spectrometry, IR spectroscopy, and auto/manual titration among many others. The bulk of my QC work comes from an analytical, FDA-regulated lab, where accuracy and precision are often critical. This caused my sample preparation skills to rapidly improve to a remarkable degree. Similarly, it greatly helped me strengthen my troubleshooting and problem solving abilities. Currently I work at Circle-Prosco, Inc, where we develop and manufacture metal-working solutions like lubricants, surface cleaners, and rust-preventatives. When I began working there, I was initially hired as a QC Chemist. However, after quickly demonstrating my strong chemistry expertise, I was very quickly promoted to the position of Research Chemist. In this role, my primary responsibilities are designing and conducting experiments to further our knowledge of the chemistry relating to our products, as well as developing and implementing new testing procedures for use in either our lab or our customers’ production facilities. I also frequently work on ways to improve our GLP practices, whether it be with our instrumentation, procedures, technique, documentation, or just general housekeeping. In addition, I am often the person my coworkers consult to help answer questions or resolve problems when they arise, like QC batch adjustments or instrument troubleshooting. I am an incredibly detail-oriented person, and as such I often strive in the lab to gain a complete understanding of my work and its underlying theory. As a result, I thoroughly enjoy being a Research Chemist as it pushes me to fully delve into researching chemistry-related principles and methods.
