About Kyle Lapointe

I am a Business Intelligence Analyst with the better half of a decade of experience utilizing Data and Visualization software to deliver meaningful data about various departmental needs including operations, finance, sales, and HR needs. In my time at Weber, I was promoted due to my performance in their supply chain reporting and operations. Moving from their logistics warehouse to their E-commerce warehouse allowed me to streamline processes using data-driven conclusions about picking processes as well as delivery times/labor. I was graciously offered a new opportunity at Cree Lighting on their E-commerce team. I was tasked with a broken data model that fed their reporting in the Power BI service. I fixed and optimized some of the modeling processes before the company changed my scope to not only the E-commerce team but also company-wide. From that point, I was a resource that worked cross-functionally managing projects for new models and dashboards feeding annual goals company-wide. New product launches, product analysis, customer breakdown, and more dashboard types are what I typically created and maintained. I also utilized Power Automate to automate data coming in from sources outside of the company to help individual workloads off of co-workers. Overall I am a Business Intelligence Analyst with some at-home experience and an interest in Docker and virtualization. I run my own databases and use a web scraper I wrote in Python as well as a script that grabs data about the stock market from an API. Next is Airflow for some automated orchestration. I am always trying to learn new skills and bring those forward to help everyone I can. I enjoy problem-solving and solution testing to benefit as much as possible.
