I oversee all aspects of IT at Synergy CU — from first-level support and cybersecurity to infrastructure, cloud, solution development, data analytics, and vendor management — ensuring technology delivery is secure, efficient, and aligned with organizational goals. Key achievements include- Migrated 83% of the workforce to Azure and enabled a secure, cloud-first hybrid workplace- Introduced Synergy’s AI Policy, AI Strategy, and Microsoft Copilot rollout- Modernized 42+ IT policies and advanced SOC 2, ISO, NIST, GDPR, and PIPEDA compliance- Building and mentoring a data science team to strengthen analytics, business intelligence, and AI readiness- Set direction and chair several committees encompassing all areas of IT, ensuring alignment between governance, operations, and strategic initiatives- Playing a key role in building and embedded a comprehensive Data Governance framework, including classification, retention, protection, and destruction policies, enabling regulatory compliance and improved data lifecycle management- Report IT KPIs to the Board and advise executives through the IT Governance Committee- Maintained near-zero IT team attrition over 12 years by fostering a culture of trust, growth, and collaboration.
