About Kyle McClun

I am a recent graduate from the University of Iowa with a degree in finance. Coming out of a very small high school where my graduating class was only 12 students, I was unsure about what I wanted to study in college. Throughout high school, however, I enjoyed being able to help my friends with any personal finance questions they had. This lead me to realize that studying finance was a good fit for me. I never have been interested in the medical field, but I have always wanted a job where I would feel that I could make a lasting difference in a person's life, and I feel that I can best accomplish that through finance. My experiences with organizations such as the Hawkinson Institute here at Iowa has accelerated my professional development and allowed me to gain more knowledge about the professional world. In conjunction with my small high school size, I have also grown up in 3 different regions of the United States. My background has led me to become very adaptable to new situations. I can easily make connections and find ways to thrive in new environments. I am also not afraid to ask questions if it means I can fulfill my role to the best of my ability. My main driver for each day is to leave a good impression with whoever I interact with and to try and improve the world in some way through my work.
