About Kyle Merckx

I am a full-stack software engineer who is driven by curiosity and a passion for creating multifaceted applications. As an engineer, I have strong collaboration skills and am great at tracking down bugs. I excel at writing DRY modular code that is easily read by other developers. I enjoy working on projects that challenge and push me to learn new techniques and technologies. My background in music has given me a good sense of how to collaborate effectively in a team environment. I have gained excellent listening skills, both in following instructions and listening to others' ideas in creative projects. Through working with music technology, I became curious about software engineering. That along with my lifelong love of technology has led me on my journey to pursue a career as a software engineer. I hope to be able to lend my software engineering skills to fields I am passionate about; music, gaming, medicine, and renewable energy. I look forward to continuing to grow as an engineer and adding more skills to my repertoire. My goal is to work somewhere where I can be a part of a team creating software that positively impacts people’s lives.
