I began my journey with Enlighten during the height of COVID-19, stepping into retail at a time when businesses were adapting to unprecedented challenges. This role gave me a ground-level view of operations, from customer service to inventory management, all while navigating the evolving regulatory landscape of the cannabis industry. From there, I transitioned to cultivation, where I played a key role in building out and managing operations. Over two years, I worked closely with teams to improve workflows, optimize yields, and ensure compliance in a highly regulated space. This hands-on experience shaped my ability to balance operational efficiency with long-term business strategy. Seeking to deepen my understanding of the business as a whole, I moved into finance. I started with fundamental tasks—data entry, reconciliations, and financial reporting—gaining insight into how financial health drives operational decisions. Over time, I took on greater responsibility, working through budgeting, cash flow management, and financial planning. Now, as Director of Finances, I oversee financial strategy, helping guide the company through growth, industry fluctuations, and long-term planning. My approach is analytical yet adaptable, ensuring financial decisions align with both current realities and future goals. I enjoy refining processes, leveraging data for strategic planning, and collaborating across departments to keep financial operations transparent and effective.
