About Kyle Negley

I have always been passionate about technology but thought software engineering and coding was only for aerospace engineers. After working in the public sector using a database program I began to think about how the data gets visualized using the desktop application. I came across Kenzie Academy online for a free series on HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript and realized that coding is fun and similar to solving puzzles and riddles. With my personality of finding the best way to do things, I found it rewarding to build things and make it work the way I intended, but also being curious trying different things to see what happens on my screen. It is very satisfying seeing my hard work programming come to life immediately like painting a house and seeing the results from your paint stroke. From learning JavaScript, React, Python, and Django, writing in a way that a computer can understand you is exciting and I hope to be in the tech industry for a long time. After graduating Kenzie Academy I was trained in using TypeScript/RxJs and studied OOP concepts with Java in order to utilize Spring and Angular frameworks. Topics I'm currently interested in are Gang of Four software design patterns, functional and reactive programming paradigms, and Go. I recently obtained the Programming with Google Go Certificate by the University of California, Irvine on Coursera to further explore concurrency in Go.
