About Kyle Neher

After growing up and working for Neher Family Farms, I made the decision to continue my education at Iowa State University to study Mechanical Engineering. While at ISU, I was involved in several experiences to reach out and diversify my professional network. Upon graduating, I chose to accept a position with John Deere to continue the growth of my technical and business knowledge in the agricultural industry. These experiences have allowed me to continue the growth of a professional network, to gain a more in-depth knowledge of products and machinery, and to get a hands-on analysis of real world problems and solutions. My goal in the short term is to find myself in an institution that will not only highlight and build upon the above skills, but propel me forward into a long-term position that focuses on my personal development while having the good of the company in mind. In my spare time I pursue opportunities to grow my leadership skills through mentor/mentee relationships. I believe true success is found when you shift your focus from yourself to others and paying it forward. I look for ways to use my skills, past experiences, and personal relationships to bring out the best in others, and I believe true mentorship is not management, but instead consists of sharing perspective gained through experience to help others make decisions based on their values and how they want to live.
