About Kyle Nelson

I have been a math teacher and Head Baseball Coach at Burlington Central High School in Illinois for the past 11 years. I have also worked at Jack Perconte's Sports Academy in Naperville, IL, and EXP Training in St. Charles, IL as a private baseball instructor. In 2011 I began research and development of a coach training program, which has since become the Cornerstone Coaching Academy. I launched Cornerstone in December of 2012. Cornerstone provides research based, face-to-face youth coach training delivered in an interactive, activity based manner to maximize the coach's skills, abilities and confidence. Cornerstone is a combination of my passion for baseball as well as the theory and methods of being an effective coach. My future goals are to continue to grow the baseball program at my current location. I would eventually like to coach in the collegiate or professional ranks. Additionally, I would like make a positive impact in youth baseball programs around the country by effectively training as many youth coaches as possible.
