About Kyle Nelson

I have a passion for perfection and have taken the long road to figure out what I want to be when I grow up :) I started down the path of Medicine, attended one Year of Medical School in Des Moines Iowa-(DMU) and after one year decided I would rather see my family when I wanted to, not when my pager told me I was allowed to. I still maintain a passion for Medicine, and plan to be involved in the business aspect of the medical profession through development and surgical centers. After I dropped out of Medical School I went to work for Atlas Ventures to help assist in the strategic growth and development of Atlas Marketing which became an INC500 company in 2006 (#143). Due to complications with the direction of the Company I resigned and took my current Position at Decorative Enterprises. Specialties: For any of you KOLBE test individuals I am a 7-7-2-7 which means I thrive in FACT FINDING, and FOLLOW THROUGH, resist QUICK START, and I thrive on IMPLEMENTING. My personal goals and focuses are to make a difference in my business by being a personable individual, a great listener, Highly Motivated, and Very well organized. I Strive to get results as a motivational leader, and value establishing trust with those I work with. I have great vision and drive- and focus on getting the best performance out of everyone I work with- and recognize the need to build the right team. At Decorative and our other ventures- we have experienced solid growth since my hire in 2007- which we feel is no small feat considering the construction industry almost came to a stand still in 2007-2010. Under my direction we have re-branded the entities, streamlined, reorganized, defined and executed our niche in the industry & have focused on our mission of providing our clients the best overall experience, quality & value in custom residential landscape construction, and landscape products. With the right team, focus, and effort- we feel we are raising the bar in our local industry.
