About Kyle Paton

I have been involved with the mining industry for over 18 years. My work experience ranges from hard rock mining and coal. I have held many operating and supervisory roles throughout my career including Mine Production Dispatch, Production Supervisor, Drill and Blast Supervisor, Dewatering Supervisor, Senior Mine Operations Supervisor, Mine Operations General Foreman, and Superintendent of Mine Operations. I am responsible for over 280 direct and indirect reports. This has allowed me to expand my knowledge in different areas of production, workforce relations and an extensive safety culture. With experience gained from working on both sides of the fence between employers, and contractors I believe a safe workplace environment and consistent high workplace standards are the key to a successful work environment. I am an active member of the Occupational Health and Safety Comittee and strive to not only sustain but improve the overall safety and wellbeing of all workers on site. I strive for continual exceleration of positive and realistic safety initiatives in all areas under my supervision. I have a strong intuition for Mine planning and love the challenge of starting new pits, pushbacks, or other exploratory situations. I have successfully navigated numerous pushbacks and pit start ups overcoming millions of tons of overburden, fill and other challenges to establish full production pits.
