About Kyle Prentice

Professional geologist (MAIG, MSEG) with 10+ years experience in gold exploration, resource estimation and project development. I joined Gold Road in mid-2011 after graduating from Curtin University with a BSc in Applied Geology, starting my career as an exploration geologist. Since 2011, a growing passion for greenfields exploration, developing the geology of projects regionally to deposit scale, and innovating exploration processes have been a focus. In 2013 I took on a project geologist role responsible for North Yamarna and Dorothy Hills, and was fortunate to be a part of the discovery team for the Gruyere gold project. Since this time I have been involved in several resource drill outs, assisted with aspects of feasibility studies and contributed to the geological modeling and understanding of Gruyere. In 2016 my role shifted back to the management of the North Yamarna project, where I contributed to the exploration efforts over several camp-scale target areas including Wanderrie and Corkwood. From late-2016 onwards I commenced working with the Gold Road resource team, training as a resource geologist, working primarily on the Attila-Alaric Trend projects. Recently, I have been seconded to the Gruyere Gold Mine as a mine geologist, seeing that start of mining in January 2019. Gruyere has allowed me to be one of the fortunate to see and be apart of the discovery to mill process. My focus is to continue to develop strong technical abilities, explore new ideas in exploration innovation, work within a diverse and energetic exploration team in the pursuit of new discovery.
