About Kyle Theodore

With over 31 years of experience in the public sector, I serve as the firm’s Vice President, Secretary. My experience lies in providing planning services in the public sector, and my specialty is in park design and recreation planning. My professional experiences encompass many areas of Landscape Architecture, including master planning and site-specific design of regional, neighborhood and mini parks; college & university master planning; detailed facility planning & design; athletic complexes; recreation needs assessments; and passive use park & historical sites. Many of the projects that I have led have received awards through SCASLA and other various organizations. I frequently speak at park and recreation conferences on topics such as the Sustainable Sites Initiative and Park Planning in Today’s Economy. I also emphasize strong client communication, project management skills, and the ability to build consensus. I am a graduate of Iowa State University and a registered Landscape Architect in South Carolina. In addition, I am a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects; a Founding Member/Board of Directors of the SC Urban and Community Forestry Council; a Member of the South Carolina Recreation & Park Association; Current President & Board Member of the Island Recreation Association on Hilton Head Island, SC and a member of Clemson University's Department of Landscape Architecture Professional Advisory Board.
