Dynamic IT (Security) Specialist with 2.5+ years experience in the IT field. I help companies to solve technological issues and provide technical solutions for their needs. Examples of my work in my current role at Tecnica include: ‣ Maintaining data security by managing user access and permissions - utilise Microsoft security groups, AD groups, GPOs, and policies to control who can access data and what actions can be performed on it ‣ Advising and setting up solutions for clients for scenarios such as providing external/3rd party access - create and configure security groups, access/permissions and authentication methods for collaborators whilst maintaining security for the client ‣ Working with clients to complete Cyber Essentials assessments - working through CE questionnaires to answer the questions required to renew or obtain Cyber essentials, communicating with the client to gather required information and advise of required changes to meet requirements ‣ Running and managing phishing campaigns for clients to raise cyber security awareness amongst staff and identify vulnerable users ‣ Troubleshooting networking issues - correcting VPN configurations, testing connection to servers with pings, checking active ports on switches and establishing what ports are connected on switches and patch panels, checking for IP address or DNS changes ‣ Resolving issues relating to user authentication - checking for expired credentials or account lockouts, managing and fixing errors with multifactor authentication (MFA) methods ‣ Investigating software issues - identifying the cause of errors or unexpected behaviour from various software used by users ‣ Recovering lost data from backups and carrying out everyday maintenance - freeing up disk space and removing inactive users accounts, monitoring systems for issues e.g. servers going down or high CPU usage ‣ Repairing/replacing damaged hardware and upgrading devices -replacing broken components such as batteries and screens, installing more RAM, correcting OS/boot issues, general hardware troubleshooting Additionally, I have obtained two certifications whilst at Tecnica - the MS-900 and SC-300, and eager to gain more! I also have some experience with Power Automate, having worked with it to help develop a document/policy management system. On a personal note, I am extremely excited by and passionate about technology, and space exploration. I enjoy football and video games in my spare time and have a keen interest in language learning - having studied Spanish on language learning apps for 3+ years.
