About Kyle Vincent

I am responsible for developing and managing objectives for a variety of wildlife conservation projects, primarily long-term population monitoring of species at risk reptiles. Other duties include grant application writing, project data analyses and reporting, and communicating the results of our program to community, academic, and general audiences. I recently completed my MSc. in Biology at Laurentian University co-supervised by Dr. Jacqueline Litzgus and Dr. Jesse Popp. My research investigated the impacts of railways on wildlife in collaboration with Shawanaga and Magnetawan First Nation using an Interdisciplinary approach that wove Indigenous local knowledge and western science perspectives. More broadly I am interested in wildlife biology, herpetology, conservation biology, and photography. Highly motivated and passionate biology professional with experience in species at risk conservation, research, and project management. Over nine years experience in various aspects of conservation biology including project development & management, field work, and policy development & analysis. Highly experienced with a variety of surveying techniques for Ontario flora and fauna including; radio-telemetry, turtle mark-recapture, snake mark-recapture (venomous species handling), bat mark-recapture (rabies vaccines up to date), breeding bird surveys, aural amphibian surveys, invasive species monitoring, botanical inventories, and long-term forest plots.
