About Kyle Ward

My freshman year of college in 2016, I was arrested at my dorm for a gram of weed that was sealed and tucked away under my bed. When a smell complaint in the hall was reported, my room was automatically searched, while my suite mates both contained half ounces that they kept out in the open. They were never questioned, and I was taken into custody. Though I considered my suite mates friends of mine, I firmly believed that the arrest was unjust as they were two white males that were never questioned or approached, and we all lived in the same suite. Ever since that day, cannabis had been a topic that is on my mind. That experience and testimonies of selective peers of mine inspired me to produce “Sheep In the Outhouse,” a personal venture themed around cannabis. Though I did not expect much from the film, it exceeded my own expectations, winning awards at festivals and now being presently published on Amazon Prime Video. However, though my team and I are proud of our accomplishments, we wanted to use our fortune to make a difference in the cannabis industry and share similar experiences, so we met with many cannabis professionals to discuss their issues and needs. After hearing their needs, we noticed a pattern where we could fill the gap, as well as in other businesses. Through our discoveries, my team’s core mission was developed. Manifest Media is now a production company helping visionary companies and artists produce empowering videos that inspire people to take action. We know there are many problems to be solved, but we want to be experts at being the solution while staying in our avenue of film and media. Our goal is to impactfully create, solve problems, network, partner, and evolve with all people of all backgrounds. I pray that one day my team’s contribution has led to an ultimate change and growth in brands around the world, even controversial ones, so one day, people won’t have to go through what I experienced.
