Career Highlights- More than 20 years teaching in Higher Education as well as over 10 years in business in management and marketing positions. As Dean of Business and Computer Science, managed 40 faculty and two staff. Collaborated across the organization to increase students success, engagement, and enrollment for seven Bachelor Programs and over 15 AAS degrees and Certificates. Worked with industry partners in the Tri-CIties area to increase advisory board and stakeholder participation in program revisions. Created a sense of belonging for faculty and staff during remote operations- Managed five departments, improved outcomes and assessment for six degrees, evaluated and mentored over 25 faculty, utilized equity in hiring, moved entire Business and Physical Education Departments to remote instruction, and managed division budgets- As Associate Dean, improved division climate and culture by including faculty in the decision making process and creating opportunities for more communication and collaboration- Guided Pathways Leadership for college and program outcomes, assessment, and engagement of faculty- NWCCU accreditation management for Degree Teachout process- Collaborated with K-12 school districts to increase enrollment by adding innovative course offerings including Workforce, Continuing Education, Running Start, International Education, and College Education Options/CEO- Improved student success by creating drop in spaces where students can meet with each other and faculty- Facilitated focus groups to gather information from students about courses, degrees, diversity and success- Budget Management for a Perkins Grant to create a new program- Led faculty through a two million dollar budget reduction process- As faculty: instructional development, DACUM and program review collaboration, College-wide professional development workshop creation and presentation- Higher Education course and program development: Business, Marketing, Human Relations in Business, International Business, Social Media Marketing, Advertising, Customer Service, Sports and Event - As a business person, worked as an event planner, business founder, entrepreneur, retail store manager, trainer in leadership development, and marketing consultant.
