About Kylee Clay

I've worked since I was 13. I started off as a referee for soccer. I had to learn time-management, leadership, how to deal with confrontation, the importance of appearance, and understanding and executing the laws of the game. Refereeing really opened my eyes to how much I love working in fast-paced environments. I then began working at Starbucks as a barista. I had to memorize over three-hundred drinks, while also being able to work fast and efficiently with other employees. While working at Starbucks, I also worked at the Jefferson Recreation Department as an athletic supervisor. I had to schedule, manage, and supervise all recreational activities that happened on a day to day basis. I started working as a Paralegal for Lueder Larkin & Hunter in Jefferson GA right before I started college. I worked directly under a partner for this law firm and assisted her with anything and everything she needed. I was responsible for all files that entered our office. I had to draft legal documents, upload contracts, order titles, do legal research, maintain closing records, and record deeds. I built relationships with real estate agents and customers on a daily basis and because of my previous job, customer service was very easy. After Lueder Larkin & Hunter I began to work for Marla Loggins at Open Mortgage, LLC as her Loan Officer Assistant. After being with that company for a year Marla decided to switch to a bigger company that would better suit our clients and agents. We transitioned to American Financial Network where we currently work now. Every loan our office does, I'm involved in. I have to upload all of the borrowers information into our system. I have to communicate directly to agents and clients on a daily basis to request documents or update them on the timeline of their loan. Other tasks include, manage, update, and correct all data related to new loans and applications, calculating income, ordering appraisals, ordering title from the title company, and attending closings. I've learned a lot at this company, including everything about FHA, VA, USDA, Conventional, 203(k), home equity loans. etc.
