About Kylie Stone

A graduate of California State University Northridge’s Interpreting Education Program. As a working Sign Language Interpreter, I have passed the Educational Interpreter Performance Exam (EIPA), hold a BEI: Basic Certification and I am currently working towards becoming nationally certified. I am eager to build up my resume in a profession I am so passionate about. I have grown to love post-secondary educational interpreting as well as any community-based interpreting where I have the opportunity to use my interpersonal skills daily. I currently work in these settings as I continue to pursue my certification, and have recently stepped into the VRS realm too. I quickly acquired a love for the Deaf Community and its culture eleven years ago when I was first exposed to American Sign Language. Attending CSUN and graduating from their rigorous two-year IEP has only affirmed my love for the culture and language that has allowed this profession to exist.
