About Kymberly Mortensen

I am a painter, a sculptor, and designer, and have been since I could hold a pencil. Creating worlds with lines, color, imagination, and even trash is my hobby, and now I wish to make it a career. My experiences range from painting backdrops and designing/styling sets, to making the trinkets and creatures that decorate them. I pay close attention to detail, believing that every piece is important to the project. I want to work in a place where I continue to learn how to build, mold, paint, and stylize worlds. I want to be a part of something great, or on it's way to being great. I have an Associates degree in Video Production, and quite a bit of experience painting with acrylic paint on anything and everything. For the last 6 years I have worked as a freelance Production Designer and Art Director on many productions. Painting backdrops, making props, designing and building sets is what I love to do. With that said, I know that there is always a hefty amount of "dirty work" to be done, and I am happy to do it. I love people and I love art, this is the perfect way to bring those loves together.
