About Kyone Johnson

K'yone Johnson, pronounced Key-yo-na, obtained her masters degree in social work from the University of West Florida. During the past decade she lived in Pensacola, Florida and now considers this her home. She has experience in writing grants, conducting macro research, implementing projects in the health promotion field and providing psychotherapy. She is currently employed as a Therapist with Lakeview's Community Action Team (ESC/SR/Early CAT). Her previous positions included being a Contracted Mental Health Counselor for the School District of Escambia County, being a Therapist for Lakeview's Child Abuse Expansion Prevention (CAPE) and being a Behavioral Health Consultant for DCF SAMH. She also worked for the Managing Entity for Florida's northwest region where she was able to combine her passion for housing and her clinical experience to advocate that housing is an effective health care intervention for consumers within the DCF SAMH system.
