About Kyra Devries

When I was 16, I spent my first week at summer camp. No, not as a camper, but as a cabin leader. This was both the best and worst week of my life. I almost quit at least a dozen times throughout those first seven days. However, in spite of all of the blood, sweat, and tears (yes, literally, and no, not just the campers), I stayed. I made a commitment to my boss, myself, and most importantly to the kids. Once I accept a challenge, there is no going back. Thanks to all of those crazy kids, I am now an adaptable, confident leader who is passionate about enhancing the lives of others through recreation and leisure activities. There is no blood, no sweat, and no tears (usually, at least), but there are still obstacles to overcome and commitments to keep. I am able to plan and implement exciting team building challenges and games for groups of up to 70 people at a time. There are often hurdles that come seemingly out of nowhere, but I relentlessly find unique ways of conquering them.
