Kyra Plourde is a communications professional with a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations & Strategic Communications from American University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2024. With experience spanning sports, media, and political sectors, Kyra excels in content creation, media relations, and event coordination. Kyra recently assisted with the National Football League's (NFL) Super Bowl LIV media relations efforts in New Orleans. During her time with the NFL’s Washington Commanders, Kyra contributed feature stories and worked closely with players, coaches, and media outlets to enhance visibility and foster community engagement. She also supported the Washington Spirit in the NWSL by coordinating press relations for game day and writing feature stories to be included in game-day programs. Currently, Kyra serves as a Media Relations Associate at West End Strategy Team, where she assists in media outreach efforts for clients in healthcare, climate change, and religious advocacy. Her responsibilities include drafting press releases, media advisories, and social media content, as well as curating media lists.
