About Kyra Sigler

In my research I seek to contribute to a safe and sustainable future. People across North America face inadequate supplies to clean food and water. I work to gain better understanding of our nation's water resource crisis while advocating for communities that suffer the harshest of consequences of water pollution. I am currently working on my master's degree in Biosystems Engineering at University of Kentucky with the intention of continuing in academia and extension work after graduation. Throughout my undergraduate degree, I’ve held positions with the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences, North Carolina Department of Agriculture, ASABE, Alpha Epsilon, and in extracurriculars. These roles have included several positions of leadership and have required commitment, innovation, data analysis, and organization. Most importantly, they’ve required deliverables, iterations, and results. I have the experience to acclimate to any type of position and the determination and curiosity to continue learning as a student, employee, engineer, and ecologist as I do so!
