As an experienced lawyer, I have significant commercial, government and corporate experience that has positioned me well when delivering value and client satisfaction. I am currently employed in private practice as a lawyer and have satisfactorily resolved legal matters diligently and in a timely manner. I have strong expertise in administrative law, civil litigation, local government planning, environmental law and enforcement, business and consumer law, privacy and building and construction. I have worked in and with various corporate organisations and private business, negotiating and drafting contracts for substantial projects, products and service delivery. This provides me with a solid foundation in dealing with business matters requiring resolution. I have worked in government, including the Department of Premier and Cabinet, where I advised a government minister on constituent issues and matters concerning legislative and public policy reviews. Understanding the implications of ideas and decisions across diverse groups held me in good stead when drafting public policy initiatives and parliamentary speeches advocating for policy and legislative change. Experienced in resolving legal issues across consumer, business, and local government, I am well-versed in taking instructions, preparing advice, claims, applications, pleadings, affidavits, submissions and drawing up counsel briefs for proceedings held in various courts and tribunals. My educational background includes a Juris Doctor from Flinders University, a Master of Laws in International Law, Governance, and Public Policy from Macquarie University, a Master of Terrorism and Security Studies from Charles Sturt University, studies in International and Comparative Law from Cornell University (USA) and a business degree from Deakin University.
